causes of the cold war
occupational zones : germany was split among france, great britain, soviet union, and the united states. the cause of occupation zones was to build germany's government up, and rebuild germany's economy and have an elected government in place. The occupation zones cause friction and tension between the allies because of the treatment during rebuilding of homes, roads, businesses, stores, etc. great britain, france and united states enjoyed the help of rebuilding germany with new buildings and land they were provided with equipment, and the resources to help with getting the structure of germany up after the war. u.s, france, and great britain resented russia for the downfall of their zone, instead of uplifting germany they made the situation worse people were starving, and had terrible living conditions under the control of russia(soviet union). Tension grew between all allies not only because of the downfall of russia's zone but because of russia feelings towards great britain, france, and the united states, russia resented them because of the luxury and resources they received to rebuild germany that russia was not provided with.
